Me: I have a
background in Marketing, Advertising, Sales, and Graphic Design, and now
Customer Service. I like to go above and beyond for a customer to give them a “wow”
experience as we call it at work where they feel really special. I hope to
bring these elements in to the project to help it succeed. I have a passion to
solve this particular problem as children who die in hot car accidents. It’s
just so tragic and it can be prevented, somehow. I’m hoping this product can
help in this way and in other ways too and solve more than one problem.
What I am offering to
customers: Is a way to feel secure in that their young child or infant is
doing fine. Imagine if the baby is at a day care all day. I the child gets sick
in the night, if he or she wanders off, or gets stuck in a car.
Who am I offering it
to: Mostly mothers of young children and father’s too. I think women tend
to worry just a little more since they have a nurturing side built in. In today’s
times, we all need to work. We are all so busy that we take on too much and get
overwhelmed with too much on our plates. This would help with that stress. It
could also be used for people with anyone they are caring for or need to keep
tabs on.
Why do they care:
It will bring to them piece of mind that their baby is well, that they aren’t
having internal problems, that they haven’t wondered off. If they are at work
and the baby is at day care, they can monitor the situation at work, or not
monitor it, and have the smart app let them know if there’s a problem. Piece of
mind is a powerful thing.
My core competencies:
A cause that no one has touched. A passion that drives me. A compassion for
unfortunate children and the parents who are devastated by the loss of their
child. If I make a product, I will quickly get it patented. I’ve found patents
before when I worked for a mezzanine company and I love to research, so I can
find new, innovative ways to approach the product.
Summary: I feel
like I have some background experiences to help to bring this together, yet I
need help technically with coding and the like. I have created web pages but
this is much different. I have a friend who does have a technical background
and who can help me in that area. I would love to hire her or have her be a
partner if she has time.
Feedback from Napkin
1: Everyone was so sweet for napkin one, very positive. We talked about
using a patch that would be a safe way to house a sensor. It would also need to
be large enough and safe enough to not be swallowed, but okay if a baby puts it
in their mouth. I want to adjust the name (providing it is available in the
real market) to call it “For Kid’s Sake”. It still hits on the key points and
rolls off the tongue better.

Hey Virginia!
ReplyDeleteI remember reading about your idea and product before and I think it is a great idea. Especially for new mothers, because they tend to worry a lot. I also think the name you are giving it fits perfectly. You touched every point required and I think your post is well written. Great job!
Hi Virginia, I like how you were able to refine your idea and even find a catchier name. It is a great idea and if you are able to find the technical labor to turn it into a reality, I believe many parents would love to have it for their child! My parents own a daycare, and once they installed cameras everywhere a few years ago and integrated a program where parents could watch their kids at any time of the day while they were at work, they got so much great feedback and I'm sure this product would get the same response!
